Performer displays an American half dollar, a Mexican Centavo and a brass ring with a mating bottom plate. The spectator is requested to inspect the ring and matching plate, then assemble them into a box and hold it out in her hand. The performer displays the centavo as he/she is placing it into the box, then places the half dollar on top which nests into a groove, nicely making a lid for the box. The spectator is asked to user her other hand to pick up the box, pinching the top and bottom with her thumb and index finger, then shake the box lightly. The centavo is heard rattling inside. The magician then politely takes the box, while continuing to shake it. The box stops making noise as the magi is shaking it and then is set back onto the spectator’s hand, where the brass plate is removed to reveal the Centavo has vanished, only to be found in an impossible location of your choice (this is often the velvet bag that is included).
