The Mac King Comedy Magic Show

Saturday, November 18, 2017 @ 7:30pm  Fairfield Arts and Convetion Center, Fairfield, IA

Hailed as the premiere comedy magician in the world today, MAC KING was just named “Magician of the Year” by the Magic Castle in Hollywood, recently broke a Guinness World Record, appeared on his seventh TV special for NBC, and has been regarded as one of the Top 5 shows in all of Las Vegas for the past ten years. THE MAC KING COMEDY MAGIC SHOW is part off-the-cuff jokes and part impossible feats of magic… and a whole lot of fun.

Bring the family…King’s eccentricity will warm your hearts, his humor will leave your sides in stitches, and his illusions will captivate the audience. He has disappearing animals, shadow puppets, and can catch live goldfish out of mid-air-right over the heads of the audience.  He performs amazing sleights of hand, makes his head completely disappear in a paper bag and renders himself invisible, all while remaining unbelievably funny.

The Mac King Comedy Magic Show keeps the magic alive in your hearts with both refreshingly brilliant tricks and stupefying talent. If you want a magic show packed with double entendre jokes that adults can appreciate while allowing the kids in the audience to stay blissfully in the dark (and earmuff free), then Mac King is the magician for you.

The legendary Penn & Teller called Mac, “The greatest comedy magician who ever lived!” The Las Vegas Weekly named him “Entertainer of the Year,” and the Las Vegas Review Journal called King, “Best Magician,” and “Favorite Male Las Vegan.”

Nate Staniforth – Real Magic Tour

Saturday, February 3, 2018 @ 8:00pm at the Englert Theatre
Ticketing: $20 General Admission / $15 Seniors / $10 Students + Fees
Purchase tickets at the Box Office or Online      Please Note: This event is not recommended for children under 13.
“Just caught a Nate Staniforth show,” one reporter tweeted after opening night, “and now I have no idea what to believe about anything ever again.” No rabbits. No top hats. No smoke machines. Nate abandons the ubiquitous style-without-substance bravado so often associated with magic and appeals instead to the imagination and intellect of his audience. The journey is wild, visceral and immediate, and like all great art, encourages us to open our minds and hearts, and see the world in new ways.

“When you’re young, it’s easy to be amazed,” says Nate Staniforth. “As you get older, that experience of astonishment gets harder and harder to find. Good magic isn’t about deception. It’s about trying to see things the way you saw them before they became ordinary.”

For over a decade, Nate has toured the US college circuit as one of the busiest working magicians in the country. He’s given a TED Talk, lectured at the world-famous Oxford Union, and on January 16th, 2018 the Harry Potter-famed Bloomsbury Publishing will release Nate’s memoir in bookstores worldwide. Here is Real Magic follows Nate’s evolution from obsessed wunderkind to disillusioned wanderer, and tells the story of his rediscovery of astonishment—and the importance of wonder in everyday life—during his trip to the slums of India, where he infiltrated a 3,000-year-old clan of street magicians.
